Spirit... You are much better off than some hypocrites who think they can fool God, hedge their bets, and cover their €$$ for the afterworld. It took a brave man to post your response. My hat is off to you.

I believe he is (at least)
honest, even if, sadly, mistaken…
What I don’t understand is how (or why) he believes the person that “told” him: “that if that were to become a necessary part of my life that I would recognize that need and follow it to where ever it led.“, yet he refuses to believe me or millions of other Christians who have accepted Christ’s salvation by grace, through faith. Not to mention all the highly educated ministers, our Founding Fathers who started our country, and even the many, many people who have spent a good part of their lives trying to disprove the Bible, but have (so far) failed.
In my mind, I have concluded that whatever it is Paul (Spirit) is “waiting” for, has either already happened and he refused to recognize it, or he, like the Apostle Paul, is blinded and waiting for Jesus to remove the “scales”. In either case, I believe Paul is sincere and honest and at some point will recognize “The Truth” and He will “set him free”.

“Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.””
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We love you, Paul…. 🙏🏻

I belive in what you have said , a few years back I lost the faith !
And I was born in a Christian family!!
And I use to teach Confirmation one a week at night to teenagers at are Catholic Perrish.
Years ago !!
Things happen in my life and I lost the faith for awhile and then when Trumph did not get reelected I was really 😪 mad a upset and wanted to do with christ or God !!
Well my Cousin is a Baptist Minister who I grew up with we buddies (best buddies growing up)
Hunted ,fished and 🏄‍♂️ with son one day I called him up , he lives in the
Texas now and I asked for help !!
Well he got me read the Bible intact he bought me a Bible and sent it to me.
He would text me scripture to read and to take notes and we would have discussion about them this still goes on today. Taught me how to read the Bible and understand it !! The Bible is and amazing Book 📖 !!
And I enjoy reading it.
What is going on today happened ing right now.
God bless you and your family.
I could go on forever but got things I have to do day.
Have a great week 😀
Well have to talk more some time.
Andy

You’re welcome Major. There’s been a lot of positive comments on this one and I’m so glad we live in America where we can talk about our Christian faith without any reprisals for doing so. Thank you for your Service Sir.

An old 88 year old gentleman who was once my pilot in Vietnam began sending me email, some funny some serious. This is one of his serious emails and it all made sense to me so I thought you might like it too.

I asked a friend who has crossed 70 & is heading towards 80 what sort of changes he is feeling in himself? He sent me the following:

1 After loving my parents, my siblings, my spouse, my children and my friends, I have now started loving myself.

2 I have realized that I am not “Atlas”. The world does not rest on my shoulders.

3 I have stopped bargaining with vegetable & fruit vendors. A few pennies more is not going to break me, but it might help the poor fellow save for his daughter’s school fees.

4 I leave my waitress a big tip. The extra money might bring a smile to her face. She is toiling much harder for a living than I am.

5 I stopped telling the elderly that they've already narrated that story many times. The story makes them walk down memory lane & relive their past.

6 I have learned not to correct people even when I know they are wrong. The onus of making everyone perfect is not on me. Peace is more precious than perfection.

7 I give compliments freely & generously. Compliments are a mood enhancer not only for the recipient, but also for me. And a small tip for the recipient of a compliment, never, NEVER turn it down, just say "Thank You.”

8 I have learned not to bother about a crease or a spot on my shirt. Personality speaks louder than appearances.

9 I walk away from people who don't value me. They might not know my worth, but I do.

10 I remain cool when someone plays dirty to outrun me in the rat race. I am not a rat & neither am I in any race.

11 I am learning not to be embarrassed by my emotions. It’s my emotions that make me human.

12 I have learned that it's better to drop the ego than to break a relationship. My ego will keep me aloof, whereas with relationships, I will never be alone.

13 I have learned to live each day as if it's the last. After all, it might be.

14 I am doing what makes me happy. I am responsible for my happiness, and I owe it to myself. Happiness is a choice. You can be happy at any time, just choose to be!

I decided to share this for all my friends. Why do we have to wait to be 60 or 70 or 80, why can't we practice this at any stage and age?

Your pilot was a wise old man. Thanks for sharing his wisdom, Hack.
