I like that you substitute cheese for the lettuce, because 'nobody eats a BLT for the lettuce.'

The world's best sandwich (with or without lettuce) ever !
Gotta love a homegrown that provides a single slice that covers the bread.

"Homegrown tomatoes...plant 'em in the spring, eat 'em in the summer....all winter long is a culinary bummer..... only two things that money can't buy*.... that's true love and homegrown tomatoes" .
....sung by John Denver, not sure if he wrote it.

* "Homegrown tomatoes CAN be had at our local Saturday Farmers' Market.... provided you get there early enough !
As for the "true love" ??? ....I have TWO ex-wives who pretty much took the money (all they could get, anyways) after PROMISING all that true love, so..... guess the song was SORTA correct !

Beefsteak tomato? I grew a bunch around my porch in straw and pig poop compost I had some of them like that...big as a plate and had to fight the birds constantly to keep them from eating a heart out of them. Man that looks absolutely delicious!

Nice looking tomato Mike. I’ve gotten a couple small ones and a few cherry tomatoes so far,but that’s it other than all the cucumbers

There's Only two thing's in life worth living and that's true love and home grown tomatoes! Back in the 80's about all of the old country singers collaborated on this song #1 hit single. Who don't like a home grown tomato?! 🍅

The best I ever grew was 4 # 12. The variety was called Delicious and I still grow them 2 to 3 pounds.
