Hello, I'm Dana Kase and I'm retired with 4 grandchildren. I get a thrill when they catch fish, especially big fish. I wonder if anyone could tell me where the carp are most consistent in the Lake Clark area of the Susquehanna

Dana if I'm right Lake Clark is where river goes under Rt 30 bridge. If you're bank fishing look for the slow water pools along the bank. Good luck 🀞 🀞

I will be out in pontoon w my family. I will look for such current slow pool Eddy's. Also I guess if I can find any kind of structure next to deeper water, I'll check that out too. Also want to catch some catties. Thanks Griz!

On the subject of catfish. Used to catch 50+ per day without trying in the Port Deposit Perryville area. Only 5-10 years ago. Not that good there like it used to be. Don't know if it's cause of the blue catfish invasion or the commercial netting that I used to see there

Hi Dana. I've been there but never fished it. I hear there's some nice cats n some decent small mouth in there. I'll be waiting on the pics ☺️

Hi Dana. I use to fish bass tournaments on the Susquehanna from three mile island n up to near Sunbury not like it once was. πŸ‘πŸŽ£

It was breezy yesterday and we got chased out of the water around 3:30 by a thunderstorm. Tried 3 spots, used 5 rods, 2 w liver, 3 w pack bait and hair rigs for carp. No Fish! Very frustrated. I guess we have to go back to port deposit cat fishing for action.

Hi Dana. Sounds like the Susquehanna at least in some areas isn't what it use to be. For carp I used canned corn or dough balls. Easiest for me was instant oatmeal. Either flavored or add whatever flavor I wanted. Get some in my hand dip it in the water then form what size ball I wanted. Just enough water to get it to stick together n get a hook in it. Good luck at next place. Another I've never been to. πŸ‘πŸ‘

I think the problem for me is, I don't know where the carp like to hang out in that stretch of the river. My bait presentation with the pack bait, feeders, and hair rugs is very effective, IF I know where the areas the fish are frequenting. Low water probably makes them a little less aggressive as well

I use to do alot of carp fishing. Biggest came out of the Potomac. One small stream I fished produced well. Some in slow water above a small falls. Some nice ones in a Slackware pool off to the side. Water was clear n I could see them come in n pick up the bait. I got hooked on bass fishing.
