Enjoy fishing in the inlet but the Piping plover species won't let me go to Moriches inlet..
Where else are the doormat flukes to fish..no boating... Prefer the rocks, beach, pier...

Anywhere along the surf. Fluke stay just outside the breakers so when the ocean is flat they come in extremely close to shore.

Thank you.. Yet still the outer beaches have yet to reopen to drive on sand...They say about 2 more weeks....good grief!!

Heading to Far Rockaway in early August. Hoping to catch something there! They were catching some good-sized Blues when I was there end of June. Keeping my fingers crossed!
