Nah. I don't begrudge ladyfish. I've caught a lot of snook and redfish on live and chunked ladyfish. Most that I catch end up being used themselves.

A ladyfish on a light fly rod is a heck of a lot of fun. So the name, from bankstalker, "poor man's tarpon." Some of them get to be a fair size.

They hit hard and fight hard...jump a lot when hooked. I've seen them up to 5 feet long. They hit artificial lures readily. Definitely poor mans tarpon. Lots of fun.
