Hey everyone, thanks for having me. Very new to oregon and i am in the bend oregon area with my father in law. Looking to get out there. Was curious of some good spots to go. Thinking about trying lava lake possibly. Anyone have any ideas or pointers, reports or anything? Thanks. Never really trout fished. Grew up in ohio

Try Crane Prarie it’s fairly shallow and holds many bass and trout of good size.

Welcome Mbugnone, lots of info here and some fun as well so hang on. Out of Bend there are several good options. If your fishing out of a Boat there is Paulina and East lake. They are just southeast of you. Fish eggs just up off the bottom or off any ledges you find. Off shore power bait. If trolling, flashers and flatfish or whatever else you feel like trying. Paulina used to hold some Huge Trout so you never know. East lake had some good Fly fishing on the far end and of course you can use spinning gear as well. You also have several Rivers around as well. They all hold some good fish, ask a bait shop or Sporting goods store and you should be able to get the updated info on where and what to use as well.
