Where is the best place to wade fish on the Bolivar Peninsula??
The very best place that I know is the Boliver pocket! It is the triangle of water on the east side of the east Galveston jetty, and the island. You can wade out perhaps a 1/2 mile. The water should be just right. You can use either live or dead shrimp. If trout are there, there will be a bunch of fishermen already there.
I have caught two limits of school trout there and would put them in a wire net basket. Then when ready to leave cull them down to one limit. I used a Heddon top water in either a pearl color or mullet. Where they are in the pocket it isn't hard to score a limit.!
Be careful, there are sharks! Just Sayin...RJS
Thank you sir! Staying in Galveston on the 17th For a week. Should be fun😁

We used to wade roll over pass at the crystal beach area . The pass was recently filled in, cutting it off from the gulf side. Don’t know how good the fishing is now.
