Welcome to the stage Sflood. Sorry I can't help you others will be along good luck with your fishing share pics when you can. You might call local bait shops also Google and YouTube or great resources 👍
Plenty of shorts with rare keeper from the pier. All the biggies are in the inlet or ocean.
Fluke fishing has shut down significantly from Barnegat bay on down to Cape May. It was on fire from May up to the last week of June. I’m not sure why it got slow but it did. Might be the wide variations in the water temps. One day the ocean temp is 75 the next day it’s 57. The warm water makes the fish head for the inlets and out to ocean. The cold temps send them back into the shallows in the back bays. All I can say is you’ll never catch any sitting on the couch. Sooner or later they have to eat something, it can’t stay like this much longer.
Hi Sflood, I fish there all the time. I usually fish the fishing piers all along the bridge. Although I find the fishing pier at the 9th street bridge pretty good at high tide. Caught 7 last week but only one keeper. I see the boats catching.
