Yesterday I received a PM from Fourchon that he had a job here in Laporte and wanted to meet for lunch after, so we did, had a great visit (and a shrimp poorboy). Talked about family, fishing, work, fishing and just got to know each other and did I mention fishing š¤£
May be able to plan a fishing trip when it cools off some. It's real nice to get to meet other stagers, I got to meet and fished with Hacksaw back in February, we had a great visit also, both are very nice people. Maybe some day there will be a southern M and G
Thats great, good luck when you guys get together

There's a big group of people I'd love to spend a day with on here. You 3 are definitely in the group Mark. Glad you had fun and a good meal. I love Shrimp, but have never had a Shrimp Poor boy.

Yes sir. Drove a total of 575 miles, uphill, both ways, in 95 degree heat just to have lunch with Mark. Heās that nice a guy. š Glad to meet him in person and have lunch and share a bit of family life with each other. Did he mention we talked fishing too? We actually have plenty in common as I suspect we would with many others here. Maybe next time we can meet up with Hack too. Fred, below is a link with some history, with a little prejudice, on the po-boys origins. The French bread is what makes it. My personal favorite is the soft shell crab po-boy. Cāest bon.

Very interesting Four, thanks for the education. It's kinda like a cross between one of our Grinder sandwiches and our Shrimp /Lobster /Clam roll. Whatever you call them, they all sound good to me. Up here, Softshell Crab sandwiches are either on a toasted Hard Roll, or Toasted sliced Bread. And I love those as well.
Oh, almost forgot. Glad you guys hit it off, and had a good time.
