First time to this site and a first time boat owner. Been out a few times Yaquina and once to Tillamook Bay. Hoping to hear from some seasoned others who know the area well for fishing and crabbing spots. Not looking to cross the bar right now as being a first time Captain I have heard horror stories. But love to meet some locals on this site and take and location and fishing/crabbing advise I can get. Also love to find new and informative websites for weather, tides and fishing reports.
Thanks in advance for any and all info.

Welcome aboard and congratulations on being a new boat owner. "Tides Near Me" on the App Store is what I use. It's free and I think you will be happy with it. Can't help with Fishing and crabbing spots from over on the east coast.
Thanks for the App suggestion!

The summer Chinook run is going on the Nehalem River. I don't know how the fishing is but the guide's forecast has said it is good this year, You can put in at the Manzanita ramp to fish at the mouth area or Wheeler or Nehalem to fish the Wheeler area. The incoming tide is usually best. The run goes from now to the Fall and the Coho and Fall season starts in Sept. The Nehalem is one of my favorite places to fish.
Thank you so much for your response! Will give it a try!
