Went back to the same spot I saw it last Sat.Still swimming around out there. eventually it went on shore, while it went behind a tree I quietly snuck over there to get these shots,I'd say about 40 feet, back to the river with something in its mouth,I looked around the tree and saw what it was, back it comes, man what a mean looking critter,Back to the river with tender stuff,by the tail drag marks it wasn't the first time getting tidbits, sat out there eating the goodies keeping an eye on me.It did come back to shore and went back into the dense bushes and I sure wasn't going to follow it.That is about as close as I want to get, they can get real aggressive and nasty,it ended up as a 'such is fishing' day.I don't fish to catch fish, that is the bonus, sure would like a bonus though.

They were really bad in my cove behind the house and started gnawing on my Pier's post and the only cottonwood tree that offered shade and wind protection. I had an aggressive male that I had to shoot.

Had them on our hunt club doing the same thing. Noticed one day they were all gone.

Even a beaver knows it should eat its greens every day.
