Hello,
Needing advice of when and where to fish lake Michigan for trout, salmon, perch. And what best setups work for where. I moved here and introduced my 7 year old daughter to fishing. We have been out all year with a lot of inland lakes catching tons of panfish. But she wants a big one or see her dad at least get something big. I used to fish port Washington powerplant alot but that's a bit big for her and I live literally 9 blocks from the north, south peir in Sheboygan, and 2 minute's away from Sheboygan river. I haven't fished here besides trying under the 8th Street bridge and the breakwall with no success yet. I'm not even sure if the fish are in yet lol.... So just need the rundown on my fishing grounds. Thanks I appreciate all and any help.... I just don't want to sit at lake Michigan or Sheboygan river getting skunked and getting her discouraged even tho. She keeps her head up and just likes spending time with me out there
Your best bet is to check the local bait shops for tips on what is working and where. They really want you to do well as they will expand their Customer base.
Good luck!
Thanks for the info. I will have to go for a few and do that. The word I've heard from the one I just started going to is that it's really slow this year like really. Poss because of the extreme alewife die off this year compared to others. People are thinking to much "bait" in the water due to that right now...thank you all advice is welcome and appreciated
