New to the group. We’re on vacation in Topsail. Any recommendations for spots to go either on shore or on our boat. Our boat isn’t an offshore boat. Shrimp for bait?
We’re in eastern NC in Topsail. It’s putting it in the wrong area.
You can go up the New river toward Jacksonville and fish the creeks and bridges for trout, reds, and flounder. We normally use mud minnows, fiddler crabs, and live shrimp if you can find them. Gulp shrimp also work sometimes. There is a manmade reef in the middle of the river about halfway to the Hwy 17 bridge thatyou can fish also. It's on Navionics mapping. Good luck.
