I flipped my kayak the other day with two rods along in about 10-15 feet of water. The water is very green and weedy. Are there any ways to retrieving the poles?

You own a snorkel and swim suit?

I own a swimsuit, might have to dig around the house for a snorkel. Would it be hard to find if the water is up to 15ft?

Yes. How bad you want your rods back? You might be able to set up a pole with some heavy sinkers and a few treble hooks and get it back that way.

The weeds would be an issue with the treble hooks. That’s the flaw in that plan otherwise that would be a go to for sure.

Well good luck man I hope you can get em back. Let's see an update when you pull an out.

Thank you, I appreciate your feedback.

Id imagine two shiny metal fishing rods would stick out like a sore thumb but i cant speak from experience.

It’s worth a shot I suppose. I don’t know exactly where I dropped them just the area. That’s also an issue

Take a metal chain stringer and open up all the clips. Tie the end to some strong but thin rope. Drag it around the bottom trying to snag your rods.

Without knowing exactly where you dropped them, it is highly unlikely that you will ever find them.
I used the chain stringer approach once and it worked. Caught it in the bail of the spinning reel. But I knew where it was; off a dock in 10' of water.
