G-mornin knuckleheads. 71 now 87 later. 40% chance of storms. Taking the rest of the old bathroom debris to the disposal place. Taking dog to the park early for some exercise.
Little plumbob was attending his first day in the first grade. The teacher wanted to gauge how children in the classroom felt about themselves.
"Anyone who thinks they are stupid, stand up," the teacher said. Little plumbob stood up right away. "Bob, do you think you are stupid?", the teacher asked. "No, little plumbob answered, I just didn't want you to be standing there all alone."

62 now, maybe 82 later. The neighbor asked me to let her 3yr old Lab “Blue” out last night as she was out. Ellen and I grabbed him and took him for a walk around the block at dusk. As we got to the end of the block, an owl lets out his usual “hoo hoo Hoo hoo Hooooo” call. Blue stops dead in his tracks and looks around. I answered the owl and Blue wagged his tail and seemed satisfied. The owl called again and after we got maybe 150yds from where we were, Blue answered him with his own low howl in the same cadence the owl and I used 😳
It was the strangest thing I ever saw.

That's been happening to me for a year and a half. I can relate. The fish hear me coming and talk to each other. "It's Greg, don't bite on anything for the next three hours until he leaves."

One correction to the true story gh posted. It was 3rd grade and i got to do that year twice.
What does that tell you about 1st days in class?
