This is a celebration of the beginning of this country. I spend the whole time half scared. Its been 53 years since I left Vietnam and every time I hear the boom of fireworks I want to crawl into a hole and hide. I'm sure there are many more out there with the same problem.

I do worry for those who had your artillery experiences, but thank you for your service!
The next few days may be rough, so please consider some noise cancelling headphones to get you through.

A couple of my grands don't Ike the noise but still like the sparkles, so we put sound deadening headsets on them.

I can imagine that is hard to put it all behind you and even though many share your pain, rest assured even more have your back today for what you did for them 53 years ago.

Thank You dbed for the time you gave up for all of us.

Don't forget to hang onto your dogs or better yet leave them home as most dogs don't mix well with fireworks.

My friend has three dogs and works for the local animal shelter. The good doc there gave him some CBD to use for his dogs during Fireworks times and he says it does work for his dogs. Calms them right down and they donโ€™t go hiding in the basement anymore.

I barked at him a few times but he just told me to go to my own basement! Good buddy there hehe!!
