Moved two years ago from Wisconsin to Idaho. Understand walleye fishing in Moses Lake and Columbia River areas around Walla Walla can be productive. Also hear that clean up site for Hanford Nuclear site is close to areas near Walla Wall so was wondering what others in the area might know of the fishing for walleyes in these areas?
I can tell you I’ve caught hundreds of walleye all along the Columbia River. The biggest ones have been lower. Down around Lyle Washington. Were talking 12 to 15 pound walleye. There’s some dandies up around Umatilla too. Lyons Ferry on the Snake River is a dang good place as well. Lyle Washington is not a bad, days, drive from Walla Walla and it’s killer walleye fishing till about the middle of July with May and June being the best time. Depending on where you live in Idaho. That Lyons Ferry section of the Snake River is a decent bet for ya. I live in Riggins Idaho, or just south of it 10 miles, and I make the trip to Lyons Ferry whenever I get a hankerin for some walleye in the freezer and have never been disappointed. Drifting tubes is how I do it but a crawler harness works pretty darn good too. I catch most of mine just after the sun comes up and later in the evenings. Good luck🎣🎣🎣
