Walked down to the pond tonight to set up my boat for tomorrow. I keep one rod down there, just in case. It has a Ned rigged, beat up old senko. The hound was busy sniffing around, so, what the heck, might as well make a few casts into weeds. Caught this 17 incher on the 5th cast, about 8' off the shore in the lily pads. Not too shabby!

Yes, it's weedy, and at least a foot lower than I've ever seen it. There should be some good frog fishin' coming up.
