OK, I would not waste much time on Roosevelt fishing for walleye. Lake trout, which were stocked many years ago never took hold. My best fishing on Roosevelt has been for Largemouth Bass, which can be quite good.

Here is the DNR report for Roosevelt:

Now for Lawrence, I have never fished the lake, mainly because the channel from Roosevelt is usually too shallow to navigate and I always put my boat in at the main launch on Roosevelt. The launch is very nice and I talked with someone this week and they said because of the high water the channel is easily navigable. They also told me walleyes were better in Lawrence, but I don't have any more info than that. If you go, you will need to provide photos and an update.

Note that the Lawrence Lake report is about 16 years old, so it is hard to tell much from it.
