So I had my two beautiful young granddaughters & parents visiting all week from Calif. Took them all to a rodeo, horseback trail ride, Glacier National Park, bobsledding down Big Mountain ski resort, local concert, and a bunch of local restaurants. But, even with all that to keep them busy, they wanted to go fishing with grandpa… (didn’t have to twist my arm). So I did my very best to put them on fish… and they loved it.
However, the line of the day, and one that I will NEVER forget… my youngest in her quiet and sweet little voice said “ hey grandpa, I think something fell off the line”. I turned and looked, and she was holding the rod, but the reel was gone and trolling along the bottom ! Lol. Reel recovered and we all had a huge laugh.
I hope as they continue to grow, they will remember fishing with grandpa.

Sounds like a great time was had by all JB. Even with the submerged reel. I'm sure they'll never forget fishing with you. Thanks for sharing.

After 70 some years I've never forgotten fishing with mine. I doubt you got anything to worry about.

My sons abandoned fishing from the high school years till 25 & 27. They came back to it with more enthusiasm than before. My daughter never gave up her interest in fishing. Just wait for it Grizz.

Very cute granddaughters you got there. Did they get those beautiful smiles from you?🤣🤣. I’ve been trying out some selfies myself. That smiling is harder than ya think while trying to focus on where the dang picture is ain’t it? Anyway. Congrats on a great visit and I can see by the enjoyment on their faces they’re not about to forget this trip any time soon. Thanks for sharing.
