Marion, that brings up another quirk that I had as a kid. In 5th grade I had a wonderful teacher, who I admittedly had a huge boy crush on. She taught us that it would be a good idea, above and beyond what we did in class to learn a new word each day. So, I did. Was a dictionary junkie just like you. Continued doing this with a dictionary until a few years ago, when I started to use a more convenient method, Google, Wikipedia, et al. My teacher would be pleased. Thank you Miss Rodin.

My poor brain seams incapable of thinking of and using all those words I studied years ago but when I see them in print I generally remember what they were. Now their only use is the Readers Digest WordPower quiz.🥴
