Actually if you took the time to read some of the posts and interact with us I think you would really like it.
Where are you from and what do you like to fish for?
By the way, we do have a few old hens on here but MOST of us are old roosters.

Cool. I believe there are some surf fishers on your side of the country. Hopefully they'll be along soon.
We catch fish before, during and after a rain on the West coast.
I'd just go whenever you have the chance and feel like it.
Personally, I don't like fishin in the rain. I'll usually wait till it's done or wait till the next day.

I'm of German and Scott heritage myself.

this site is more of a fishing community than a fishing encyclopedia for now just stay in the main or area specific areas, and you will read mainly fishing posts. start your post with a honest question and chances are someone will have an answer. for now you need to stay away from the chit chat and attic areas until you are ready. these two areas are for posts and discussions other than fishing which not all site users want to partisapate in.

Welcome to the stage. Read up some more before hammering us. In this heat, the later in the day the oxygen levels drop dramatically. Especially if it’s shallow where you’re fishing. The rain will offer much needed cooling of the upper surface. I’ve caught fish before, during and after the rain. More importantly I believe is tidal movement, wind and wave action not to mention if any baitfish are present. If you can get out to the second sandbar I believe your chances would be much improved.

Rain doesn’t bother the fish in the surf, it’s more about tides, wind, and available bait.
