The last one should be SNOW and TELL. I am trying to figure out the one with 3% GOP etc. Kinda confusing what it means. Deficit of 3% GOP members? So if Congress has 97% Dems?

Look up who has always spent the most it really brings a whole new meaning to Conservative. My guess it should GOP = Go Out Poor.

The sad t***h is that if Warren Buffet's suggestion were made law, congress would just come up with a new way to calculate the GDP to get a larger figure so that they could borrow more.

That's like their "Inflation rate " calculations, that don't include fuel or food prices.

Yeah, they probably won't factor in fuel either.

When they're calculating for an increase in Social Security benefits, they leave out a lot of things that have inflated badly!

Like alll of the leaders pay increases.

My dad always said this. If Congress and the rest of who has the control were effected by what it decides they wouldnโ€™t do things the way they do.

Congress exempts itself from the decisions that effect the rest of us before making its decisions.

I looked up stats on Google! Currently appr. 8% of Americans today are millionaires, while almost 51% of congress are considered to be millionaires! Are they truly concerned that our gas prices & foods costs are so high on us retirees?
Not no but Hell No!!!

What doesn't add up for me is that our politicians demonize the wealthy while BEING wealthy!

They're often criticized for "not paying their fair share". Sure, there are some rich folks who aren't paying, but the lion's share of the revenue collected does come from the wealthy.

Suppose we pull down all the rich people so that we'll have all this equal distribution of wealth. Then there wouldn't be any wealthy people. Who's going to provide the jobs? I've never been employed by anyone who wasn't wealthier than me.
