Where to fish for bass near me in Miami

I have a kiyak and fly fishing and spin fishing gear. Can anyone suggest a good place to fish for bass within a couple of hours of Miami. Also, what to use, etc.

Never been there but I have quit a few friends that go to Lake Okeechobee. They are always catching a lot of fish. Don't know how far that is from you though. Welcome to the Stage and good luck. Gordon

Taking the turn pike to west palm and get on the bee line hwy. its 112 miles. That's less then 2 hours.

Thanks, Gordon. I went past Lake Okeechobee on my way to La Belle a couple of weeks ago. I'll give it a try. It's a big lake, so I'll have to find someone who knows where to launch.

Just get off rd 80 at the Okeechobee exit there’s a state park with camp / RV sites and ramp for launch
