Good mornin', plum. That would be a good goal, but I was never worth a crap. So, it wouldn't take much. Thank you and have a good day,

In Toby Keith’s words,

“I ain't as good as I once was
But I'm as good once as I ever was."

I read a couple of his books many years ago. I put too much time and energy into people that didn't return the favor. You can only be there for yourself.

Expect little from others, you are seldom disappointed.

I guess I need to expect more from me. For me.

A lofty goal, but one that's worth the effort.

Kind of know what you mean gh on the " I put too much time and energy into people that didn't return the favor. "
statement.

Had to tell someone what they didn't expect to hear the other day and for me i arrived at " You can only be there for yourself. "

It's a new day now and moving forward.

I hold my tongue. I don't need the drama and angst. Particularly at home. It's amazing how much I enjoy the quiet. That's a big part of the reason I go fishing.
