“FINS” lakes offer great opportunity to take the family. Lake Mingo in Nicholasville yielded several bluegill, a couple bass and some nice catfish. Mingo was recently stocked with cat.

FIN (fishing in neighborhood) lakes are scattered all over KY. They are stocked periodically by the state wildlife people. The 2 in far west KY are easily accessible. Good opportunity and you don’t need a boat or any fancy equipment. Go to the KDF&W site and see the list. Guarantee there is one close no matter where you are in the state.
