Wondering if any of you fellows have fish Lake Sakakawea in ND., if so, how was it?
It has great fishing for walleye, northern and salmon. I have not fished it in several years, since I have not been back home for some time now.

Thank you for the reply. Do you know what time of the year for the best walleye fishing? Do you know what time of the year for the best salmon fishing? I'm not interested in the "slimdogs". Does the "43" stand for your DOB?
I would say spring for walleye and fall for salmon. Just need to check with local guides and or ND game and fish. When you learn how to fillet a slimedog and end up with 6 boneless pieces of fish they can be pretty good table fare. You might also look at Devils Lake I hear it has some good year classes now and be closer to you. Also if you need a great recipe for baked fish that is awesome instead of frying give me a shout.
Looking to do some shoreline fishing does anyone know a good spot to fish on sure
Walleye fishing is great now at Lake Sakakawea!
