Wow it was hot… * only 88 degrees but it felt like 100 in the sun… as soon as we got out I got a small hybrid.. a few minutes later Dan landed this decent spotted bass…. On the way in I had a spot for a bit that decided to jump a foot out of the water 10’ from the boat and throw the bait… for a 2 hour trip in the middle of the day… fish on!

Good job Duck. The heatwave is heading your way. Get out the sunscreen, and stay hydrated. Thanks for sharing.

Nice Spot, bet it put up a good fight.
Nice pics it’s a very beautiful area. Fished it years ago until Late in 2000, reports of alligators in Lake Norman began to surface. Later that year, video of a 5-6′ alligator in Lake Norman was released to the local news. Two different alligators were spotted in the lake.Haven’t been back.
Yeah that was a while ago I remember hearing about that too... but I haven’t heard of any alligator sightings recently and if any of the local news channels got wind of a sighting it would most likely be their lead story to scare the crap out of everyone up there.

I agree cause it’s a great fishing lake most don’t know about and the ones who does stay away because of that
I am coming down in July with my grandson to fish for crappie, is there a good population in Lake Norman? I was told to put in at inland Marine does that sound correct
The crappie probably be up in the creeks tight on brush piles in July, Lake Wylie has good crappie fishing as well. Message me when you get down here and I will give you an update on LKN and a good buddy fishes down on Wylie for crappie a couple times a month.

Cool that's about an hour s drive from me, good fishing, deep water and usually very busy body river. The riverboat rides with meals are always booked solid and interesting history. I just like my quite fish filled river closer to home. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
