I was fishing in a 3foot stream which is a runoff from the lacwaxan river in my area in Northeast Pennsylvania when I noticed several schools of very small bright orange colored fish. They were the size of a very small goldfish as well as had the same shape of a minnow. I tried to get close enough to take a picture with my phone but they were to far away. The mouth is also the same shape of a goldfishes mouth.Does any one know what kind of fish these could be?
somebody turned loose a koi perhaps.
Either a Koi or a gold fish, either way they are an invasive species that were not supposed to be released into the open waters.
Feeder Goldfish or juvenile Koi.
