I have a one man, inflateable. pontoon that I have added a lot of adaptions to. I cut the top of the motor off and made an adapter to it for the head to secure right next to me on the frame, an adapter for the fish finder, and adapter for the rod holder, and adapter for steering the motor, and an adapter for a wheel so I can use the front feet holders like handles to wheel it to the water. a box for the battery, raised the seat up 4" and then raised the oar locks up so I can use the oars ok. I went to the lake and mounted all this stuff there as I don't like the idea of traveling over rough roads with it pre assembled. I got out on the water only to find the battery was bad...........Grrrrrrrr. I kicked myself for not taking the back-up battery that was home on the bench.
Since I was there (53 miles one way) I fished from the bank; caught two smallllll trout. I threw them back and went home. It was still a great day, for once, and I didn't have to clean fish when I got home.
PS......don't tell anybody,OK??

LOL it happens. I took off going home after picking my dad up and to go fishing. He was staying with me a couple of days. Got out on the water about 10 to 15 miles out realize I did not have my rods. So I used 1 of dad’s but it wasn’t like my own

I know the feeling took my 16 year old grandson and his girl friend out to the lake and could not get the motor started had to use the electric was to far away from the fishing hole I usually go to got home early went to check the motor only to find he had not put the gas line all the way on felt like a dummy for not checking it on the lake
Batteries are a boaters worst nightmare. Whether it's one or three they're a pain in the butt. Had a friend in Austin, TX that always had spare battery, tire, wheel bearings and grease in his truck. Saved himself and many of his friends at tournaments. The guys loved him and his stash.
