saw this story about a bride who caught a large fish in texas on her wedding night
https://www.foxnews.com/great-outdoors/texas-bride-catches-huge-fish-wedding-night

made me think how many of you went fishing on your wedding night or honeymoon? I did my new wife and I thought it would be good to spend the evening fishing and cook and eat the fish we caught while enjoying the evening fishing at a little lake in northern Calif. What ended up happening was we caught a couple blue gill built a fire and cooked them over the open fire sitting on a grassy bank in the moon light. aw yes a romantic honeymoon fishing trip that was until I took a couple bites of the roasted fish had an allergic reaction to the fish and my mouth swelled almost shut and I could hardly breath, we rushed to the local little hospital only to find it was closed for the night so went back to the cabin we were staying in as I gasped for air and luckily the reaction subsided and I lived. Turns out for the next several years any time I would clean a warm water fish caught in Calif. my arms would break out in a rash and I could not eat them. Cold water or salt water fish did not give me a reaction and they think it was not the fish but something in the warm water they were in the caused the reaction, but at any rate it was a honeymoon memory that we had not planed on. By the way we just had our 47th anniversary last month which goes to show you "the couple that fishes together stays hooked"

absolutely true. Met my wife fishing (24years ago). while today she only fishes with me once or twice a year she's a better fly fisherman than me.

My wife don’t fish but we get along great and she loves to eat them and don’t say a word about me going whenever I want. She’s a keeper👍
