Went out yesterday morning for the 3rd try on the reservoir and had a pretty good day. The weather was clear and it did get pretty warm at noon when I stopped. Caught 15 walleye (kept 2 that were over 18”), one 15” smallmouth and one 18” rainbow (surprise catch).
All were caught in the same small area in 13’ to 22’ of water using worm harnesses dragged on the bottom at .6 to .8 mph.

look's and sounds like you had a great day, congrats hope your luck keep up
Thanks leydentnt. Gonna try that tomorrow. I normally anchor and cast....never tried trolling. We will see tomorrow. Will pound the dam and the point to the west.
I’m headed out again early tomorrow morning (6-14), I'll have a report tomorrow. So far the west shoreline about 1/3 of the way down the lake from the north ramp has been producing for me.
Look for the boat with the Tuffy emblem on the side.
Will do. When you say the West shoreline do you mean down past the swim Beach? Just left anglers all got loaded up on blades and bottom bouncers never done this before should be interesting. I'm more at home with a fly rod.
It’s somewhere near the swim beach I believe. I never pay attention to the shoreline, as I’m watching my charts/waypoints and depth most of the time.
Thanks for the info. I will be at the North boat ramp at 6:00 in the morning. Hope to see you we'll buy you a beer.
Good day on Chatfield today. Using leydentnt's technique....worm harness with a bottom bouncer. Fished 3 hours starting at 6:30.
Caught 10 Walleye, a perch and a Rainbow. Fish turned off when the water skiers showed up. Going back Saturday.
I ended up catching 27 in all this morning, fished from 5:30am until around noon. Fast a furious to start out then understandably slowed down towards the end. Was able to catch one keeper about 18.5”, the rest between 16” and just under 18”.
Also managed 3 nice size smallmouth bass, 3 rainbows and one perch. In all another outstanding day on the water.
