Another shooting and this time I know one of the victims, Dr Preston Philips. Dr. Philips used to be over here in Seattle and he was the surgeon that operated on both of my wrists, a knee and did my back surgery, all which went well and I have had very little problem with any of them in the 20+ years since I had the surgeries. Dr. Philips was a very competent and caring Dr. and I was sad when he moved back to Tulsa. We have lost one of the best Dr.’s I have known. Again the cry will go out for gun control and maybe better background checks and maybe a short 5 day or so waiting period where more complete background checks and cooling off period would help in these situations some times but the problem remains the person and the society we have become. We have been down playing the need for a strong faith in God and the moral compass that such a faith provides with the benefit it brings to our country as whole as a result there has been a big decline in morality, respect for others and life in general, disrespect for laws and a failing justice system. In situations like this instead of looking for real causes and real solutions the focus turns political and the focus is on the instrument used by the k**ler not on the k**ler. Recently I heard a Democrat politician take the republicans to task for wanting to focus on mental illness instead of guns . We have a lot of politicians that do everything they can to create the deterioration of our social fabric by promoting perverted views of g****r identity, and sexual practices or push views that result in the breakdown of families, or do all they can to keep any belief in God squelched. They attack and defund police and but a burdensome restrictions on the police, they pass soft on crime laws and don’t hold criminals accountable, they make unvoluntary confinement for mentally unstable individuals unlawful, they legalize or decriminalize every sort of mind altering and addictive drugs, and do not enforce the gun laws we have and then when some “wackadoodle” flips and shoots up some place they blame the gun and call for more gun control, while mocking those who call for more mental health, drug treatment and yes faith based programs that can change the heart of a man. I get tired of people saying they care about what is happening yet are not willing to address the underlying problem of the moral decay that has happened to our society. Unless there is a refocus on Faith, Family, and care for the mentally ill there will never be any end to this senseless violence only a continued down hill slide and we need to quit pretending more gun laws will solve the problem . Ok done venting for now

If the age for the purchase of a specific firearm is going to be 21.

Should the age of v****g be 21?
The age of entrance into the military be 21?

The age of the shooter DC posted about was well over 21 and bought the firearm 3 hours before.

So the media has reported.

Not age
Not the firearm
They just have their agenda.

I Agree 100% with your rant and solutions. It's a sad state our country is in, and I don't see it getting better anytime soon.
