The wood ticks seems to be thick this year in my area. Has anyone else noticed them. Some wee tiny ones also.
Mike go to Walmart and buy some permethrin and spray your clothes socks and boots. It’ll keep ticks off you for 5-6 washings.

beware of the tiny ones, they are most likely deer ticks and can give you Lyme disease. (I've had it five times already)
We have a lot of them in our area this year too Mike but that permethrin really works. Been using that for about 5 years now
I use Cutters or Repel, 15% Deet as I also wipe my Neck and face with it. The permerthien and 30% Deet are to be sprayed on the pant legs and socks before putting them on. For Skitters, I also spray even the 15% on clothes and long sleeve shirts. That way it works even when wet! Sweat or otherwise.

What brand of permethrin do you use/
recommend?
Never sprayed anything on my skin there is enough stuff already going into our bodies. Just a good old search when you get home and take your clothes off outside or porch. My wife got Lyme disease bad in Connecticut from pets in and out. The rash can pop up anytime and anywhere the specialist Dr told us. She had it bad.
They are bad here, too! I am even picking them up on the golf course!
Must be a tough year for them. Daughter's have had them on their dogs and they're rarely out of the house, and never unattended.

They make it in 2 sizes that’s not in a spray can and I usually get the big one, supposed to treat 5 sets of clothing. I hang clothes outside and spray them. Let them dry completely before wearing them. Wash them in cold water. Shouldn’t need to retreat for 5-6 washings. Wear long sleeve’s and jeans along with face mask and gloves when applying. When applying leave outside until dry.
Look up Plum Island goverment at work infecting ticks with Lyme disease as a war deterant. Thanks uncle same
Carroll reported, “A source who worked on Plum Island in the 1950s recalls that animal handlers and a scientist released ticks outdoors on the island. They called him the Nazi scientist, when they came in, in 1951—they were inoculating these ticks.”
