For many people around the country this long week-end is a holiday. Time for cook outs and play. I want to pay tribute to all the men and women who have given their lives so these playtimes can happen. I also want all of you here who lost service brothers to know in part I share your grief, in part I share your loss. I lost several good friends to the Viet Nam war. I was not as close to them as you were to those you lost. I honor them and to those of you who returned my gratitude is undying. My love and respect is unending.
