19" schoolie. Sorry about the pic composition. Wind and tide were tossing my 12' canoe all over the place

Good start Tub, one down many more to come along. Amazed you were able to hold him up in the canoe especially with being tossed around.

Thanx for the report Tuboshu, if schoolies are up to Kennebunkport, those of us in Southern N E are gonna see some big mommas swimmin' around here pretty darn soon.
Nice catch. Please be careful out there in your canoe.

Tubo, I just went back to review the photo, and see you are nice and close to the shore. Good. I don't mean to insult ya, or be like a doting Mother, but please, still be careful. I wouldn't want to be in the cold Maine waters even in August. I wuz in the Connecticut River down here in CT as a young man once in February, and know how quickly cold water can sap your strength and determination to survive. Won't even mention the particulars about the effect on your nads.

Thanks for the concern about my nadsπŸ˜‰, but I was fishing in Wells Harbor, which is well protected from the main(e) ocean. The reason I was near shore was because I had to beach the canoe so the fish wouldn't drag me out to sea.
