My training a hundred years ago mandated that I place 3 precisely placed shots very rapidly at the enemy.
2 center mass followed by a quick shot to the head. This immediately incapatates the enemy and you are free to go to work on the next target.
He is no longer a threat to anyone before he hits the ground. Dead meat in less than a second and a quarter and that’s slow.

Like mentioned before. I haven’t shot in a very long time. And I’m half blind in my dominant eye.
Following are pics of my 9 mm M&P 9 and the Gold Cup 45 doing triple taps.

Acquire send , acquire send
Boom, boom, boom… boom boom boom. Send it send it send it.

These are pictures of what you don’t want to see.
I am sloppy. Very sloppy. What you want is 2 big holes half the size of a cell phone max.

Every shot that wasn’t a kill shot placed innocents in harms way.
Do not do that please.

Perfect practice makes perfect.
Live that. Be responsible. Don’t spray. You will regret it.

I got a long way to go to get my control back.
I’ll get there.

Those are pretty cool targets Ben. I wish I could read the words better. I shoot those calibers.

I’m not confident with this performance . So much so that if I were in the produce aisle when some Jack wad decided he wanted to kill a bunch of black folk he didn’t even know who were just buying some groceries.
And the poor armed guard didn’t train right and it cost him his life.
I would hesitate and that makes your kids fatherless or motherless .
Hesitation kills.
Gonna Carry dont make you a big shot.
Being very good and carrying makes you responsible.

Perfect practice makes perfect.

Wanna carry , get trained. Hey good. Then have at it. It is ok then.
Spray strays and punch thru a little girls wall while she’s asleep.
No. Don’t go there please.

Those are called Tutor dudes.
The premise is they give feedback on technique errors.
I don’t have technique errors. I just suck !!

Sorry. This is an important subject.
Taking life is hard core, do not even think of taking it lightly.
Serious ramifications. Legally , emotionally. It will eat your soul
I fortunately never was called upon to engage an enemy in service of our great country.
Though I was very prepared to do so if called upon .

My son on the other hand was forced to do just that. And he is a broken great guy.

I’ve hurt a lot of people who needed hurt and I’m finally making my peace with God.

I hate it when I hear threats.
I’m gonna kill you. I’m gonna kick your ass.
I’m the kinda guy if you hear me say something like that. Something very ugly is goin to happen very soon.

Ever have a grandpa tell ya don’t point that BB gun at anything you don’t intend to kill. I did. Wise advise right there.
Don’t threaten others.

I threatened a guy once I found out he grabbed my wife’s breasts at work
Told him if I ever got a report of a repeat. It would get ugly. Told him if he had doubts I’ll get it done right now.
Verified he understood the gravity and back handed the snot out of him. Just to get the point across. He got it .
I regret that. I shoulda added him to the list of stuff I need to talk to God about and taken him right there. But witnesses …

Needs done. Do it. Don’t need done , control yourself and everyone has a pleasant evening.

Ben I meant to comment on your struggles with marksmanship after your injury earlier, but kinda let it slide.
I suffered an occluded artery that fed the optic nerve on my dominant eye some twenty or so years ago. The occlusion ( hole ) in the artery acted kinda like holding your thumb over the end of a garden hose, producing a narrow high pressure stream. That blasted away at he optic nerve producing a bunch of scar tissue that cannot transmit the "signals" back and forth between the eye and the brain. That resulted in the loss of about 60% of the vision due to the incorrect opacity of the tissue. Anyhow much like you, I was able to relearn how to somewhat interpret what was out there and how to hit it with the use of lasers. i made enough progress so that I can now defend myself and others at a modest distance..but no more great scoring @ the range. The brain is an amazing organ though, and my overall vision is still improving as my brain is constantly updating the data from both eyes and reinterpreting how to mix it to make a better overall image. But my vision still sux, and always will.
Even with today's technology, problem cannot be surgically corrected.
About ten years before this event, I purchased my Gold Cup. Real sweet weapon. Old school, but absolutely reliable and very accurate. Was not crazy about Colt products, but this is a winner. Never ran junk ammo through it, but believe it would gobble it right up. This is not my choice for personal home defense, but it would be fine. Prefer pistol grip shorty 12 ga. pump. Might mess up some of the furniture, if used in doors, but I have a good chance of survival and live to fish another day if some crackhead comes crashing through a window.
Glad you didn't give up either, that's too easy. Gotta fight this stuff, make adjustments and move on

Ok I took pics and still can’t read
11-12 breaking wrist up
1-2 healing/ anticipating recoil
2-3:30 thumbing
3:30-5 tight grip
5-6:30 recoil anticipation
6:30-8 trigger jerk
8-10 pushing / anticipating recoil

Google these. Pretty handy while training.
And oh please never hold a damn weapon sideways. Thugs that do that spray 15 rounds and maybe wound one and kill a bunch of bystanders.
I use the weaver stance. Rock solid , controlled . Gets you back on target after recoil.
If these dudes would learn proper technique their kill rate would go way up.
They would kill eachother off much more efficiently and put a quicker end to the madness we are all having to deal with.
Let em take care of the problem amongst themselves efficiently and stop killing innocents and cops cause they got weapons without a clue how to use em.
Proper hands. 15 rounds equals 5 triple taps. Ratio goes way up.

I’ve considered training gang bangers so they could kill eachother more effectively and before long there won’t be many gang bangers.
Manageable levels for our men in blue.

We ain’t even got into long range work yet. Same principles only much more technical.
Imagine thugs killing eachother from 600 yards with precision.
2 years , problem solved.

Oh. Here I go again. Sorry. This is important.
I have a friend from Rwanda.
Great dude. Got his citizenship earlier this year. Had a blow out of a party for him.
Cake and everything.
Dude is black as coal and coo as ice!!!
Mailman.
We got to talkin one night.
He said that me because I carry I’m considered a hero. A patriot defending what’s mine and the American way of life. If he Carrys he’s considered a target for every law enforcement in the country and half of the folk who don’t look like him.
I know this is turning political but it needs said.
It’s the man or woman’s character who defines them. Not what you think they look like.
Oh I am a Caucasian man. Shoulda mentioned that.

Good thing you learned to compensate. I’m still fresh.
Also good thing I never aim. Target crosses my sight path. I’m sending it. Both eyes open.
I got a laser on my 9 I’m still trying to figure out. Never wise em cause the beam is a target right at my head.
My issue is more timing. Acquire send calibration.
Notice my head pattern is really loose.
Reposition timing.
That will come back.
Used to blow holes size of a skoal can with 10 mags in about 2 minutes.
I will overcome this.
Gonna take a lot of ammo at $.80 a pop.

I’m primarily talking yo men here or the dominant partner of those who live alternative lifestyles.
Make sure your wife or partner knows basics of your weapons.
Don’t want em raped and beat to death with a claw hammer from your own work bench.
Crazy’s out there do that.
I’m working with my Polly purebreds wife now. Actually I have a friend I live like a son do it.
We all agree I’m way , way to demanding. He’s very patient. Mad are the instructors at every gun range in the country.

Also. Keep your guns secure.
Kids are curious. I was and every kid who has ever lived watch TV . Guns are a magnet and we all read about tragedy’s.
My guns are all locked and loaded.
I also have safes.
And my grandkids get a reminder. Never ever touch one of papaws guns.
Wanna look or touch. Ask papaw. Otherwise hands off.
I secure when I know the kids are comming.
If I’m out of town I install locks in case they come over when I’m gone.
A lock comes with every new firearm sold in the US.
Ever wonder why???
Use em.
