While I was taking pictures a city worker stopped and radioed in to the parks people and here he is heading for a new home, whew

Well, this may have been the first in Texas Rodeos! You see, there are a number of reports that folks like Jim Bowie and his friends would jump astraddle to large gators in Texas and ride them like bronc horses! Now that's not too hard until you decide to dismount, then the gator may have his best chance for a meal, clothes, boots, and all. Just Sayin...RJS

Where there is water here, chances are it has gators, just have to be alert to your surroundings at all times

I would imagine that's only in the eastern part of the state, right? I don't ever remember seeing any in Cowboy movies.LOL

You are right, east Texas isn't much different than Louisiana, they are only separated by a river
