Nice scenery. Hope you enjoyed the time Greg.
That's beautiful. Just being there is nice. A little action would be nice too.

Funny thing Fred. Some three to five pound bass in the shallows where that stick pokes out of the water. We dropped minnows, nightcrawlers and a Mepps spinner in front of them -- nothing. They weren't interested at all.
FYI, for you bikers that have heard of "The Dragon", this area is just a couple of miles from where The Dragon starts. A huge attraction for bikers from everywhere.

They're probably on their beds Greg. They won't eat, but they won't tolerate invaders. Drag a stick worm (Dinger or Senko) unweighted thru the bed and they will pick it up and remove it, spit it out and go back to the bed. Also a dark colored plastic Lizard (Salamander) rigged the same way. Real Salamanders swim in, and eat the Bass eggs, and Bass hate them.
I caught my fish Thursday on a Dinger, the same way. As soon as you see or feel them pick it up, set the hook. It's a blast!
Just take a quick picture, and release them, and they'll go right back to their bed and continue breeding.
I've never ridden the Dragon, except by Go Pro, mounted on others bikes. Sometime in the future though, I will.
One of them went hard against a salamander today. Almost got him. You taught me something. I guess I need to buy a salamander lure.

Yep, they aren't eating them, just giving them the bums rush! Vamoose!!!!
All the plastics companies make them, in many colors, but Black or Green Pumpkin are probably the most universal. Texas rig them on a worm hook, weightless, or with a tiny splitshot just above the knot, if you really need it. You should be able to find Yum, or Zoom brands at Wal-Mart. Good luck, and have fun.

G I've never much targeted bedding bass. Just me but I got a nice LM at Deep creek lake one time by repeatly dragging a pink worm thru the bed 👍🎣
