Thank you all for your prayers and your show of care doing this time. My father was my dad my friend a very good listener my counselor and my hero. I am fine knowing he is in a much better place. As we laid him to rest today I am grateful for friends like you. Friends who I feel is family. You guys/ women are the best. I am reminded that the Bible says to be absent from the earth is to be with the Lord. I could never put into words how I feel towards each of you who has shown concern and love for me that you’ve never met. Trust me it means a lot to me. Continue to my family in prayer as we embark the journey one day at a time. I pray for you as you pray for me. We are all a part of God’s family. We can’t make this journey along we need each other and together we can reach our goal. Again thank you so much

Continued prayers for you and family as you adapt to one less voice and pair of hands. I think of Love a like an adiction and you are going through withdrawal. The pain will subside though it never goes away. It still hurts when I think of my Gram who passed 71 yrs ago.

Hey Troy, as everyone has stated, we are family. I feel as close to some on here as I do my own blood kin.
Even though we may never meet here on this earth we that are saved shall all meet someday on the "new earth".
I truly look forward to that my friend.

I am sorry for your loss. I lost mine many years ago, it was really hard on me. I couldn't talk about it for a long time without tearing up. My DAD was also my hunting and fishing partner beside all the other Dad things.

My father didn't care about us kids and I was pretty young (3 or 4) when they got divorced. Mom married a man and we did NOT get along. They split up and some years later She married a real good man who became my best friend, mentor and step DAD. He passed decades ago but I still miss him. He was a worker and had many friends. We would get ready to go fishing or hunting but someone would call about building a garage or something and fishing/hunting would have to wait; friends came first. I believe he is up there doing Gods' work and "walking in tall cotton" with a great big smile. We will meet again; I know it.

These verses from the Bible comes to mine from the love and kindness you have shown me this week. I know the Bible says you have no friend such a friend as Jesus but I do know also if we who call ourselves Christians should love one another and if one falls be there to lift him up so that tells me we need true friends here on earth. Jesus had friends and he loved each one of them. Thank you so much for your kinds words of encouragement but most of all your prayers
