Fishing with my baby on Mother’s Day

We were being lazy today. Chilled out this Mother’s Day morning and later watched the Astros hand it to Detroit. After the game we loaded up with the fishing equipment and headed to a place we could bank fish. We stopped at the bait stand and bought a pint of live shrimp then headed to the spot. I threw a cast net and caught about 16 finger mullet and my fishing ap said very low fishing today. We proceeded to catch two limits of Redfish and one Drum. I’d say the ap was wrong. I’m gonna send some photos.

Then you guys pull a Grand Slam on Reds and get a Black to boot.

That's a great way for the 2 of you to spend the Holiday El Rod. Beautiful Reds and a bonus Drum to boot.

No El, my red fish experience is when i lived in NC. I try and get back there yearly and stock up. Only allowed 1 per day there though.

Plum, that’s a tough limit. We’ve had 3 per day, 20-28 inch limit for a long time here. Your allowed to keep one oversized but you have to tag it. I just release any oversized fish anyway. They are the females to make more Redfish.
