I am from Moncure NC and I live about 2 blocks from POE Ridge boat dock on B Jordan Lake, NC. I fish only from the shore. Not having having much luck yet this year. Anyone from my area that can help?

Thank you all for the information and welcoming me to your fishing stage. I grew up spending my summers on my grandfathers resort in Wisconsin on Petenwell lake. I spent 7 summers there and learned a lot about fishing from grandfather. I was fishing off shore in front of the resort one early evening with a musky rod and 50 pound test line on the bottom and hooked into something that I played for quite a while and lots of onlookers behind watching me. I couldn’t seem to get the fish up high enough to see it. It was swimming very slow but just too big to get it up. My grandfather’s brother came down to try and help me because I was running out of line. The fish was pulling me closer to the end of the pier. My grandfather’s brother put his around my waist to keep me from being pulled into the lake and the fish was still able to pull both of us closer to the edge of the pier, so with out telling me he pulled out his knife and cut the line, so we didn’t end up in the lake. A lot people cheering on the road above us. An experience you never ever forget!!!
