Well our Utah Grizzlies hockey team have advanced to the second round of playoffs. They won the Division Championship this year - a first for the team!! If they stay focused hopefully they will continue on to an ECHL Championship. Wish us luck. Seems like the Colorado Avalanche (our parent club) takes our best players to help their cause. Guess that’s why we are here.

We just won the first game 5-1. Play here again tomorrow night and then three games in Rapid City next week. Then back here for two if necessary. Crossing our fingers!!

Well second game is over. Still on the winning way. Pulled this one out in the last 3 1/2 min. Down 3-1, at 3 1/2 min Grizz scored now 3-2, at 3 min RC scored Grizz down 4-2, at 2 min Grizz scored still down 4-3, at 1 min Grizz scored TIED at 4-4 and finally at 8 sec Grizz scored for the win.

They got on the bus last night after the game (about 11 pm) and headed for Rapid City for the Monday night game. Hope they can sleep on the bus - about a 11-12 hr drive from SLC.
They then announced this morning that they are calling up our main Goalie (who leads the entire ECHL in shutouts) to the AHL Eagles (sister club) because the Colorado Avalanche NHL (parent club) goalie got a concussion in their playoff game and pulled the Eagles goalie up. Now really hope our backup goalie can pull us through!!

Well it was a battle to the end in RC. Grizzly are now ahead 3-2 and back to SLC for the last two in this series. A win either Monday or Tuesday will put them in the semi- finals. Go Grizz!!
