Very interesting Kandy and it explains exactly why pollution laws donโ€™t seem to have any effect no matter how strict

Very interesting. Always an angle to evade regulations.

Tell the world gets all their heads together and straighten this shit out they're gonna continue doing what they're doing. Some countries try to do the right thing and others just get richer by letting the waste flow right on down the river. Heck look what these companies get by with letting stuff flow right down our rivers in this country.

I suspect the model of taxing the production on ships from the beginning until the end of their life would be a good solution. It would almost have to be done as part of some sort of international commission rather than the EU. The biggest problem would be that there is so much profit as it is done right now that any change may not ever happen.

I concur...and since this thread isn't in "the attic", I'll say no more, except that old quip of '1000 Lawyers at the bottom of the ocean as "a good start" ' seems so much more apropos with this article as proof !

I thank you, Kandy, for the link. At this point in time, and with only our vote to give us voice to appeal to "their better angels", casting that "INFORMED AND AWARE" vote becomes that much more important.... good luck to us all------the whole planet 'ALL'.

Sorry to spread such miserable news but we have to do what we can to keep the waters clean.
