Steve's pigeon came again today.
The day my Steve died and I lost my Robin Hood a Bandtail Pigeon showed up in the yard and stayed all day. We had never had Bandtails on the property before. It has been back almost every day for seventeen yrs now. Sometimes it brings friends, once I counted 20, but today it was alone.

That's nice Miss Marion. We have doves n cardinals that keep coming back. I once hunted doves but no more. These will sit on the fence n I'll walk within a few feet of them n they just watch. They know they're safe☺️. Always signs if we look 👍

You didn’t loose him you just lost physical touch for a while. He is with you and you know it. (That little birdy watching over you.) Until you meet again keep his memory alive. As I know you do!

Hope you are well!

It is an enigma. Native American religion's suggest it might be Steve's spirit staying to watch over me but how do I reconcile that with the Bible.
Why would a single wild bird leave it's home range and flock to visit daily. When I saw him today it struck me how tired he looked and he moved like he hurt, made me cry. Bandtails are only suposed to live 15 yrs.

Losing someone you love leaves a gapping wound padded with memories many of which bring exquisite pain when revisited.
So sorry for your loss
