RNBB, I fished for a couple hours this morning and they were biting pretty good. If you happened to notice at the ramp the foamy kinda skim on the water it's because the shad are spawning and they spawn in low lite hours. First thing in the morning or after dark the fish hit pretty much all night. I had 4 this morning in 2 hours and the shad were running the bank but when the sun gets up the bite shuts off. During this time you just about gotta fish when the fish are on the shad. I put in this morning at day break and there were two boats pulling out, one guy said he'd caught fish all night. Until the shad finish spawning it'll be a night bite and top water is your best bet. I caught two this morning on a Whopper Plopper and caught two one hybrid and one SM. caught one hybrid and one SM on the Tight Line

The workers are installing new aeration lines to the middle of the lake, they pump air in so when they draw the water thru the dam it can support life in the river below. They will end up going over to the fenced in area at the lookout but the put several thousand yards of 2 or 3 inch hose out to several places close to the dam. You'll see them bubbling up in the summertime.

Everyone has those non catching trips, but as was said, where the shad are so the fish are too. I always fish when most are still sleeping zzzzz and they wonder how did you catch all those fish? Better luck next time.

Yea my phone went dead after the third pic I took, probably why you couldn't get me. Suzanne tried to call me too and she fussed at me for not charging it up before I left. Gotta get a phone charger for the boat,,,now who would have ever thought I'd say that,, not me.

I'm going this afternoon to see the shoulder Doc and find out what he wants to do about that bone chip, I'm afraid it's gonna be another surgery, keep you fingers crossed for me.
