Those are very colorful! Nice catch PNWTrout! Thanks for the pictures! Good luck and be safe!!
Just a little fun fact, there was an older man fishing same area, I’m old but he is older lol, and he hooked and landed a beautiful 22” rainbow. I helped him land the fish as all he could do was hold onto his pole with two hands. He was tired after his battle with the big boy so I took the hook out for him while he rested. When I opened the mouth he had a tube jig, and a panther Martin spinner. So apparently two Anglers had this bad boy hooked n lost him
Awesome looking Brownies PNW !! Youre the Man ! I can never get enough of looking at their Beautiful color patterns ,, Thank You for sharing your Photos,,,🙏👍🤙
I’ve had good luck in the aqueduct above the lake. A Mepps 4 XD with a bit of blue is killer. Nice browns!
What were the locations you fished?? What were you using-- bait/lures?? I've fished from the headwaters to past Cassel-- so I should know the locations where you were--- if you want to give up your secrets!!! LOL I have a friend with property & cabins just East of Shingletown--- I LOVE it up there!!
I remember it was below the dam, in a meadow area and above the dam where an aqueduct was feeding into the resiviour. The trough was a surprise.. browns and rainbows!
You were in/around the town of Cassel. Had luck there before as well as upstream all the way up to where Hat crosses under HWY 44 for the first time. There are spots everywhere to pull off and fish!! Hope you get to revisit this fine fishery!! You can always stop in the store @ Old Station and ask them for advice--- cool people eager to help!!
Had good fishing in a couple of spots.
Upstream from the post office did well with a chartreuse power worm, the fore bay did well with pink mouse tail, n down by powerhouse 2 with rapala n power worms
Notmuch of power worm/mice tail kind of guy---- salmon eggs, nightcrawlers, and my good old Panther Martin in Black w/yellow spots!! THX and good luck to you in the future!!
