Looks like a golden shiner that was lucky enough to avoid someone’s bait bucket for a good while. Use him to catch big pike or musky.

I’d say Golden shiner. Trash fish. Kill it if you catch one.

Although the fish pictured is not a Golden Shiner, Golden Shiners though are valuable forage fish for Bass, Pickerel and other predators and should not be wantonly removed from the ecosystem
