Bought a tube of crickets took about 2.5 hours to go through them. 6 largemouth about 25 or so brim. 4 nice keepers 2 bass worthy of a pic. Took a couple pics of the area I was fishing. I saw the hole in the bluff and thought if I were a fish I would lay up there for ambush. Sure enough got 1 bass and about 10 brim out of it.Had a fun time. Was using a new rig. Nice catching Reb! I'd be fishing that hole in the wall too. Beautiful area, thanks for the pictures.
WhiteReb: You know, if that cave/hole extends down deep, even all the way to the bottom, more than likley there will be a big, even huge catfish living down there.
If you are of a mind to do so, rig up your heaviest, strongest rod and reel, with a big hook, and sinker. Then find a perch, or sunfish (if legal in your state) hook the bait just behind the dorsal fin, and offer that meal for your perhaps record catfish.
You see, huge catfish prefer caves, or dens like that and will take over and evict all the other catfish.
You will more than likely get broken off, but will have the time of your life, and may even get towed around the area for a while. If you are lucky, you will be rewarded with a fine speciman of a huge blue or yellow catfish, who might even be a record for your area. Just Sayin...RJS
