Take the big green DeKon rat poison blocks and crush them up in a plastic bag. Mix that up into a paste with a cheep crunchy peanut butter. Put the mix on a jar lid or something to keep it from staining your boat and place them where dog or cats can't get to them and your squeal problem will go away fairly quickly, works for ground squirrels too. Keep watch cause you'll have to put more out from time to time. When you think you've got them under control wash down everything they've touched with a chlorine based cleaner to get rid of their smell, that attracts other squirrels
This is a horrible thing to do to a wild animal but sometimes when you can't control them any other way desperate measures are called for. I had a family in my attic several years back and they chewed up everything they could this was the only solution that worked.

Just make sure you wear gloves when you work with that stuff. It's not real good for you either.

Gotcha Fly. Will do.
Thanks
I've had mice in my Glastron in the shed. They built a heck of a nest in her belly. Chewed a couple rod handles. Couple yrs ago chipmunk got in wife's car. Almost $800 to replace the wires they chewed. Three yrs ago I trapped 22 squirrels n shot 2. Shot 4 chipmunks. This yr I've trapped 4 squirrels. Yesterday saw a chipmunk. They're here. Rodents are a pain 🥴😡🤬😂

I use the bucket method for chipmunks and it works.

Spring is here and we are uncovering our boats for the first time since Thanksgiving and seeing the squirrel damage. They eat right through 5/8 solid fiberglass like it’s nothing. Some guys are finding that the squirrels have chewed up wiring harnesses and upholstery. Haven’t heard of them damaging fuel tanks YET but. Question is has anyone run into this in ur area and how do you keep them out. One guy put bags of moth balls in his boat and when he uncovered the bags were gone. The critters took them off the boat cause they didn’t like the smell. All of the boats are in covered slips lifted 3-5 feet out of the water. They won’t go in our traps anymore so that’s not working and it’s in a townhouse community in a cove so shooting them is not ready an option. Please let me know if you’ve been successful with a treatment. Has anybody tried an electronic device this gives a high pitch to deter these tree rats?

As a good friend of mine says. Squirrels are rats with a bushy tail and a public relations agent

And what is the bucket method Kandy?

You fill a bucket 1/2 way with water then float a paper plate with nuts or seeds on it. Next you make a little ramp with a board and put a nut or seeds on it. They go up the board try to jump down onto the plate to get nuts and drowned.
Try soda pop not diet. Works real well for mice and chipmunks. We have gotten rid of field mice nests by placing it in pie pans near were the are causing damage or their nests.

Here would be my solution. First, shot and kill some of the little bastards. Then, skin them out in the open in plain sight of any other squirrels. Then, fire up the BBQ and cook the squirrel on the charcoal grill. Eat him slowly and with gusto right there in plain sight.
Then later, if still a problem, repeat the above process until they quit, or you have eaten all the family! Just Sayin...RJS

Never heard of paper plate but will try. I usually float sunflower seeds across the top of the water. It looks solid so they go for a nice, long swim. Always more than just one. They are cute but destructive.
